Finally watched the movie yesterday. Must say its worth a watch for sure, though I’m a good four years older than what I should be to actually appreciate the movie completely. It’s a totally feel good, stress relieving movie that sure does make you feel chirpy. Its not that there are downsides to the movie either (can someone PLEASE explain to me where on earth are such beautiful houses near CST, or, why must they drive along Marine Drive always, no matter where they are going), but I can see why college students are simply in love with this movie (People all over gushing “Imran Khan is soooooooooooooooooooo cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute”). Needless to say, the music is top notch, though nothing close to Rahman’s best.
Besides, an uncanny resemblance, character, attitude and mannerism wise to someone I know very well made the experience absolutely worth it.
Thumbs up, though its not worth a DVD or a 2.5GB DivX download.

When you’re messing with Computers and live computer networks, sometimes, you experiment with things and they fail. Sometimes, they’re successful, until they are detected by over-enthusiastic sysadmins wanting to prove a point. That has happened. Access to this blog has been banned from my office, for a reason no one who’s ever visited this blog for the past 2 years has known about. Yes, access, only to this blog. No SEV, I can still see your blog, so can I see the parent domain. But I cannot see my own blog.
No, there was no content censorship, but something that really cannot be explained here, for reasons best kept secret.
And hence, there shall not be any posts from work anymore, until and unless I’m using my N82 to post something.
I’ve been observing this for quite a while now. There has been an overlapping with regards to communication methods. Orkut scraps, Facebook wall posts, messages, and then there’s the old fashioned chat, SMS, phone calls. Its but natural that these would eventually overlap. So, I’ve decided to make a rule for myself.
Another year gone by. I’m a year older, but I really cannot conclude I’m wiser. As I sit back and look at the year gone by, there are various observations I’ve made, and I thought It would be worthwhile to list a few here. (more…)
I managed to get tickets for Om Shanti Om today, which itself is an achievement, considering that all theatres in Mumbai are overbooked till Sunday. Well, coming to the point, the movie is actually GOOD. Typical Hindi Masala flick, with almost three fourths of Bollywood making an appearance in the movie. Worth a watch, definitely, but you’ve got to remember, its a Masala flick, and quite a bit of stuff is out of the ordinary. Not the serious movie goer’s cup of tea.

Today, India celebrates its 60th Independence day. 60 years of freedom, from British rule. Ordinarily, this should have been a national holiday to enjoy this day. However, I am not. Matter of factly, am right now in office, staring into four computer screens, each running different tests. No independence for me from work today, since there is an urgent requirement.
Was so looking forward to a lazy Holiday morning and getting a few things sorted at home.
But alas, that was not to be. Movie in the evening, am so looking forward to that *touchwood*
I hate Navjot Sidhu’s commentating skills. Yeah, maybe he’s funny and all, but lets face it, I doubt he thinks before he says. Its more like he’s got this imaginary set of 100 or more sentences which he uses, irrespective of context.
