Empathy…, revisited.

Author: Ubertechnophile - Categories: Posts from Work - Tags: with 2 Comments

I was spending my time in the doldrums. I was caught in the cauldron of hate. I felt persecuted and paralyzed. I thought that everything else would just wait. While you are wasting your time on your enemies. Engulfed in a fever of spite. Beyond your tunnel vision reality fades. Like shadows into the night. To martyr yourself to caution. Is not going to help at all. Because there’ll be no safety in numbers.
When the Right One walks out of the door. Can you see your days blighted by darkness?. Is it true you beat your fists on the floor?. Stuck in a world of isolation. While ivy grows over the door.

So I open my door to my enemies. And I ask could we wipe the slate clean. But they tell me to please go fuck myself.

You know you just can’t win.

Empathy…

Author: Ubertechnophile - Categories: Posts from Work - Tags: with 3 Comments

There’s a silence surrounding me. I can’t seem to think straight. I’ll sit in the corner. No one can bother me. I think I should speak now. I can’t seem to speak now. My words won’t come out right. I feel like I’m drowning. I’m feeling weak now. But I can’t show my weakness. I sometimes wonder. Where do we go from here? It doesn’t have to be like this. All we need to do is make sure we keep talking.
Why won’t you talk to me. You never talk to me. What are you thinking. What are you feeling. Where do we go from here??
I feel like I’m drowning. You know I can’t breathe now. We’re going nowhere. We’re going nowhere.

There is more to ‘Keep Talking’ than what meets the eye.

Facebooked?

Author: Ubertechnophile - Categories: Posts from Home - Tags: with 2 Comments

I started off on Facebook as an alternative to Orkut, pretty impressed by its privacy settings. It was a slick web application, more so because it let you add applications of your own, and hence came along SuperPoke, Superlatives, SuperWall, Characteristics and what not.

Conversation Conundrum.

Author: Ubertechnophile - Categories: Posts from Work - Tags: with 1 Comment

I’ve been observing this for quite a while now. There has been an overlapping with regards to communication methods. Orkut scraps, Facebook wall posts, messages, and then there’s the old fashioned chat, SMS, phone calls. Its but natural that these would eventually overlap. So, I’ve decided to make a rule for myself.

Obituary to my Nokia N95.

Author: Ubertechnophile - Categories: Posts from Work - Tags: , with 2 Comments

The N95 review is suspended. How do you a review a phone you do not have? In a sudden turn of events, I had the oppurtunity to get myself a Nokia N82. Dad really liked my Nokia N95, and his Nokia N91 was giving him a lot of trouble. So, poof, in a matter of two hours on Christmas morning, I was the proud owner of a Nokia N82, and dad was the proud owner of a Nokia N95.

Speaking of proud owners, the N80 I originally had will officially change hands today. My alter ego returns, though for a month! Yeah SEV, that is you!

Nokia N82 review, coming up!

Remembering the time…

Thirteen years ago, to the exact minute of this post, I lost my grandmother. The sole person responsible for me retaining my mental balance from a not so pleasant childhood.

Intro to my big, bad N95 Rant.

Author: Ubertechnophile - Categories: Posts from Home - Tags: , , with no Comments

Well, this is a long pending review of the Nokia N95, which I bought during Diwali. Things happened, I got busy with work, there was a MAJOR firmware upgrade and stuff. Now that the dust has settled down, I think its high time I devote some time and pen down MY review, for the benefit of Supremus and perhaps, others too.

Dressed - again.

As posted earlier, I’ve been obsessed with the colour black. It was natural that I would switch to a black based theme, sooner rather than later. So, here it is.

PS:- Some rough edges, bear with me.

Number Portability!

Author: Ubertechnophile - Categories: Posts from Work - Tags: with no Comments

Finally - Number portability. Without getting into the intricate details of what this is and how it can be achieved, its safe enough to say I’m no longer tied to a particular cellphone provider. If I don’t like their services, poof, change the provider, keep the cellphone number.

Its funny, it took so long for India to implement number portability, but, better late than never. On the flipside, there is still a year to go before its going to be operational.

Om Shanti Om

Author: Ubertechnophile - Categories: Posts from Home - Tags: with 2 Comments

I managed to get tickets for Om Shanti Om today, which itself is an achievement, considering that all theatres in Mumbai are overbooked till Sunday. Well, coming to the point, the movie is actually GOOD. Typical Hindi Masala flick, with almost three fourths of Bollywood making an appearance in the movie. Worth a watch, definitely, but you’ve got to remember, its a Masala flick, and quite a bit of stuff is out of the ordinary. Not the serious movie goer’s cup of tea.

Ah, Deepika Padukone.
