Imagine this. A hypothetical device with a high resolution ‘x’ megapixel camera, about 4gb memory, with a form factor like the Nokia N95, with support for connecting 3.5mm jack headphones, and all the bells and whistles smartphones come with these days. The subtle difference being, it would come with a little port at the bottom (aka the Ipod), which allows you to dock it to a supplied foldable docking station, scaling the display to fit a 17 /19 inch screen.

Now, considering, phones these days do everything that a computer can, in some cases much better than a conventional computer, this bring out very interesting possibilities. Use the mobile phone as a conventional phone when out of home, and when indoors, pop out the foldable docking station from your bag, dock your phone to it, connect the display and voila! Your very own full fledged mobile computer.

Music? Connect your Bose speakers to the supplied headphone jack, and there you go!

Movies? Hot swap the 4gb card with a card thats got a Divx movie of your choice, and bingo!, your own mobile theater.

Still better, connect wirelessly to your media server, assuming you have one on hand, and connect wirelessly to your movies.

There, I’m dreaming again. I think I should stop now, and start work!
