Once upon a time, in August 2004, I bought an IBM Thinkpad. It was a state of the art machine then, 802.11b and all.

Time passed, and two and a half years later, it shall leave my brother’s hands, to whom it was given to, for it has now been exchanged for a ’state of the art’ Lenovo laptop, which shall again be used by brother dearest

It was my sole means of keeping in touch with people when I was in the UK. My solitary companion, when I was bored out of my wits in the campus hostel. Its funny to think I’m actually writing an obituary for a computer, but without it, life in the UK would have been a different ball game.

Bye Thinkpad, thou shalt be sorely missed.

My new personal laptop? None. The Nokia N80 shall do, very well.
