Call it a classic case of resource abuse. I used to have four, maybe five Orkut messages (no, not scraps) a day about 6 months ago. Then, orkut boom happened. Everyone had an Orkut account. Up went the message count. Fifteen, Twenty, Thirty messages a day, all ‘Good’ Forwards. (My Really dumb forward was courtesy them.)I used to delete everyday. Then came a point. I stopped noticing the message count. One fine day,

You have 512 Unread messages.

Drastic measures then happened. Settings -> disable message sending direcly to me, to friends, to communities.

Nirvana. Peace. I’m proud of myself.
